Default Hokusai

Darn - I wish I was in England this summer - there's a new exhibit about to start about Hokusai...

The 50 second video animation of Hokusai is a keeper. Various animation techniques. The 3D from 2D sources is particularly effective & suitable for Japanese perspective.

Yes, I enjoyed the video as well. It's a fun thing to turn Japanese art, which is inherently 2D, into a 3D experience. I know how some of it was done but that first scene of Fuji is a mystery to me. I wish I could find credits on who did this video. They are an artist in their own right.

The museum is putting out a movie in cinemas now. I checked the map of cinemas and it's all over Europe, Canada and 3 locations in California. I sure hope they expand that. I would love to see it.
