I had a large collection of photos. I left them on a table, along with my latest poem, "Keeping My Name", when Catherine Tufariello sent me off to get her a drink. When I got back they had vanished.

I'm certain they'll turn up soon. I imagine somebody put them in their West Chester bag by accident.

Best regards,
David

Hmmmmmm... I noticed on eBay that a shady character whose street name is "C-Tuf" was peddling a West Chester bag... cheap.

I have reason to believe that this is the Notorious C-Tuf, who has been known to run with Playa J.D. (wears a "Thug" shirt) and the Powow Boyz.

She has been known to wield a mean pentameter and may be carrying dactyls on her person. Approach with extreme caution.

Whew! That’s a relief.

When Robin drew my attention to this thread, I was afraid an embarrassing conference photo of me had surfaced. You see, recently I finally went ahead and got red highlights, mainly in the futile hope of not being asked about Sophie, as I have been practically every day since her birth, “So where did she get that red hair?” Well, at one point as I was on the lawn at Alumni House, chatting with Tim Murphy, David Anthony suddenly appeared and snapped a photo, remarking as he did so on how uncannily similar we looked.

David, if you PM me, I’m sure we can come to some sort of arrangement on the return of the others.

My dearest Natalyusha and her comrades are safely home in Moscow, and yesterday sent me photos from the trip. Here's one, but she has a massive, fantastic photo album posted on the web. Everyone should take a look. The hyperlink:

From Russia With Love

Below is one Natasha snapped on the last night of the conference, just before we headed over to the readings in the auditorium. I believe "Rob" is the name of the man on my right.

Now I'm incented to start writing poetry, so I can go to that damn thing.

Those are some cool pix! I owe her a shot from Aralia Press, so I'll try and get all those craptop issues straightened out this weekend.

Jennifer,

how come you got special dispensation from the universal law of inverse pulchitrude, whereby the uglier the poet (think Auden) the more beautiful the poetry?

And Alicia, too.

How come, eh?

"Death is the mother of beauty," wrote the esteemed Wallace Stevens. I would rather have back my dead loves than all the beautiful poems this planet possesses. But you do my soul good, Doctor. Thank you.
