Silly Quincy. Who cares about torture and all that kind of thing? What really matters is that Mark Foley sent a dirty email to a page. That's what America's outrage is reserved for: sex. Oh, wait, that's right, not sex. An email that may have mentioned sex. That's much more important.

Hearsay? There's a difference between overhearing a conversation between two other people and having someone tell you something to your face.
It's a fact that American military personel have beaten prisoners to death. There've been trials and everything. Given this extremely ugly fact, it stands to reason that they have also beaten prisoners to somewhat less than death, and if someone has been bragging about this, it's likely something other than hot air.
Disgusting but unsurprising.

Yeah--especially when he leaves off the part where he held the prisoner's head back and cut his throat while the camera was rolling.

One difference between these barbarities is that the slicers and beheaders are showing us how barbaric they are, while the torturers are trying to hide how barbaric they are. Nevertheless, neither wrong makes a right.
One could argue the degree of barbarity. I think I'd rather be beheaded, get it done with, than tortured to death.

What makes you sure they were not tortured before they were beheaded. I'm all for torture if it saves my kids--or yours.
