I'm bumping this thread because Davey's essay on Neruda appears on 3 Quarks Daily today. They try to pick a representative best of articles/essays/critiques appearing across the media and all manner of journals.
When I wrote that this essay is worth reading, I wasn't blowing smoke!! haha! It really really is a great essay on Neruda, and a great piece of writing.
So if you haven't already, give it a go when you have a quiet half hour or so . . .
