Kudos to all those funny Sphereans, and to C. Sharpe, and I hear the wails already at the contents of the editorial. Let's hope somebody else picks it up.

(Maybe I should mention that there is another little light-verse online publication, Garbanzo . And of course we have great hopes for The Shit Creek Review.)

Good, topical issue, and Janet's pertinent drawings - particularly the Poem Lady one, made it even better.

I can understand and sympathize with the decision to step aside, but we're gonna miss you. But - if you are going to discontinue the magazine - how about stepping out from behind the C. Sharpe identity and taking a very well deserved bow in your own name (which many Spherians seem to know anyway)? I won't "out" you, but wish you would yourself. Folly was a fine endeavor, and you deserve the recognition. Thank you.

I really enjoyed this issue. Brightened up my day. Congratulations to all Sphereans in it!

I add my kudos for the new issue. As ever, my favorites are the Griffiths offerings. I have this notion that if someone would gather a bunch of her pieces and bind them somehow, so that readers could have them at hand for convenience, it would be a popular item.

I also echo Michael's curtain call(or it is a call for a curtain call?), for the very reasons he states. I do; however, hope you will postpone this until you are sure some renewed enthusiasm for the cause will not be forthcoming. I question whether anyone else's Folly could ever match yours, Mr. Sharpe.

I also understand the difficulty of the job, though. I would fully understand your stepping down.

I am grateful for the enjoyable journals you have published, and for your allowing me to be in them.

Bugsy

Perhaps before Mr. or Ms. Sharpe identifies him/herself, should he/she choose to do so, we ought to stick our necks out and say who we think it is... that is, if we don't have inside information.

Personally, I will refrain from guessing, since my curiosity was so intense that I hired a team of private investigators who managed to track Sharpe down, kick open the doors of a his/her seedy hotel room, and photograph him/her in the act of satirizing a minor.

I hate to say this, but feel I should, in the interest of finding someone to replace me. It ain't really that difficult. I'm just incredibly lazy.

Chuck, you are as unlazy a person as I know.
"Last Duke" is a cracker, among others.
Best,

I've got to say how bereft I feel to learn that the brilliant C Sharpe is stepping down from high office. C Sharpe was always so intuitive, funny and perceptive in all dealings with contributors and above all so honest and outspoken, that I dare say C Sharpe is irreplaceable.

Thank you C Sharpe.

In my opinion the word light means "serious" in the highest sense when form and content are united as they are in Folly.

Janet
