The 2007 edition of the AsoloArtFilmFestival will be held in Asolo (Treviso) from 1 – 6 October 2007. The
festival upholds the cultural traditions and embodies the concepts established by the ‘Festival Internazionale
del Film sull’Arte e di Biografie d’Artista’. Created in 1973, the former festival enjoyed great international
success for over two decades, until it was interrupted at the end of the 1990s. Thirty years later, following the
progress in visual language, the festival was re-launched as the “AsoloArtFilmFestival”: an international
cinema exhibition with an award competition dedicated to all forms of art.
The Festival will be stage for the Career Award “ Flavia Paulon” awarded to an artist of international
success who has left a significant trace with his/her art and personality, in the contemporary art and cinema
cultural scene.

The competition is divided into five sections:
  • FILMS ON ART for works devoted to visual arts and music;
  • ARTIST’S BIOGRAPHIES for works of historical reconstruction and critical interpretation, on
    personalities from the world of visual arts and music;
  • FILMS ON ARCHITECTURE AND ON DESIGN for films on History, movements,
    protagonists, works and projects on architecture, town planning and design;
  • VIDEO ART – COMPUTER ART for works using electronic or computer technologies as a
    method of direct artistic expression;
  • PRODUCTIONS related to visual arts and music, made by cinema schools, specialized higher education institutes and universities.

The festival is conceived and organised by the cultural association Asolo International Art Festival
(A.I.A.F.), a non-profit private organization with legal status (Veneto Regional Council Decree (DGR) N°.
59741.03 of 18.04.03).

REGULATIONS
Only works produced after January 1st 2005 are eligible for the competition.
The works must fall into one of the 5 sections described previously, which must be indicated on the entry
form. The Selection Committee reserves the right to move a work to another section, should it fit more
appropriately in a different section.
To enter the competition the following are necessary:

submitted be incomplete, the organizing committee will decide whether the work is eligible for the
competition, and its decision will be indisputable.
The materials submitted will not be returned but kept as documentation in the Festival archive. A copy of
each work will become part of the A.I.A.F International Media Library, created in order to make the
material available to Universities, schools and students worldwide for educational purposes, and aimed at
promoting the festival itself.

The required materials must be sent to the following address:

selected will be informed of their participation at the competition. They must submit a copy of the master
transferred to Betacam SP(pal) or a tested DVD (pal). If this copy is not in Italian, it must have Italian
subtitles. If these subtitles are missing, when required, the participant will automatically be excluded from
the competition. The copies of the chosen works must reach the AsoloArtFilmFestival before and no later
than 15 September 2007, otherwise they will be excluded.
