The General Talk Forum appears to have disappeared from the Sphere and all the archives and indexes. Huh? Please - somebody tell me I'm nuts, or I'm looking in the wrong place, or it was out for a quick oil change and is back now.

I don't see it either, Michael -- though it was certainly there earlier this morning. I noticed a couple of new posts to the "Death of a Board" thread.

Yes, I noted the same thing earlier. It's Saturday - maybe it had to go to a nephew's bar mitzvah.

Right. It's gone. But if you go to the Active Topics list, it exists with two new posts.

It's gone--the way of all flesh? If the powers that be have decided to jettison it, I wish somone had said something. This is kind of like 1984 where things "No longer exist and never existed."

I thought either I or my computer had gone crazy. I'm gratified to discover others have the same problem. However, I'm also disturbed. I wish some explanation would be given for these abrupt changes.

We're trying to get hold of Alex. There was no notice to the moderators that this would happen.

Access from active topics, try to reply to a thread, get this message: "Sorry, but you are not authorized to post a reply in this particular forum. Only moderators, administrators, and users granted proper permission may post replies in this forum." Or I do, anyway...
Curious.
