Having resisted all suggestions to update my PC for the last six years, I succumbed to temptation yesterday, with misgivings.

It's wonderfully fast, beautifully clear and very stylish: I'm delighted.

I've lost my email inbox, so apologies to anybody who's written to me recently and hasn't had a reply. It's retrievable on my old PC, and I'll get there eventually.

I've also lost my poetry file updates over the last six months. However, I've been unproductive lately and also am cunning, so made hard copies.

I'm receiving incoming mail, but am not certain I'm getting all of it.

For the moment I can't send emails, but am confident this will be fixed soon.

My access to the internet is fine, and I can communicate with lightning speed, so PMs are probably best if anybody wants to talk to me just at the moment.

I like your prose poem. And with the epilogue, it's perfect. The closing metaphor really nails it!

Not to mention the implicit moral; always keep hard copies.

I knew it needed something by the lack of responses (silence speaks louder than words) and am pleased the epilogue works for you.
I usually try to avoid didacticism in poetry, but believe it can work, on occasion.
