I am pleased to announce, that in conjunction with the University of Evansville Press' imminent release of a new anthology, 150 Contemporary American Sonnets, the New England Poetry Club will sponsor a reading of represented authors on May 12 at 7pm at the Central Square Cambridge Public Library, 45 Pearl Street. In addition to the great XJ Kennedy and OUR OWN legendary Rhina Espaillat, the reading will include Marion Shore, Deborah Warren, Bill Coyle, Len Krisak, Alfred Nicol, David Berman and, last and least, yours truly. That's four Nemerov Award winners (and six awards)and one Nemerov judge if you're keeping score at home.
Shockingly, there is no admission fee, but since there is "festival seating" get there early to make sure that YOU are there for this HISTORIC celebration of the sonnet.
I am looking for a catchy name for the event, since the U of Evansville publicity department, well, we won't go into the substance abuse issue... Somehow, "A Smorgasborg of Sonnets" doesn't seem quite right, and I would welcome your creativity.

Well, since idealism seems to be the order of the evening, I'd call it Sonnetopia and leave it at that.

The announcer will certainly have fun with "Welcome to Sonnetopia!" as a greeting.

Michael and Kevin have given some great ideas. To them, I'd add:

Good Verse in Small Packages

or

Fine Lines

Neat! I'll have to be sure to visit the family up in MA at that time.

This is a rare opportunity: Any one of these poets would be worth the trip.

I look forward to being sonnetized. I hope it happens at supersonnet speed because of my short attention span. I can also visit my aunt in the state sonnetarium.

Michael -- sorry you were left out. Perhaps your own event:
"Soliloquy of Sonnets"

This is the first I've heard of it (though you allege I'm reading, Mike).
