Martin McGovern earned his MA in philosophy at Stanford University and his PhD in creative writing/literature at the University of Houston’s Creative Writing Program. His poetry, essays, and reviews have appeared in The New Republic, Poetry, The Denver Quarter, Hotel Amerika, Chicago Review, Kenyon Review, Sewanee Review, and elsewhere. Cofounder and codirector of the soon debuting Mile-High Low-Residency MFA at Regis University, where he currently teaches creative writing, literature and philosophy, McGovern’s poetry collection, Bad Fame, will appear this winter with Able Muse Press.
