Ted Kooser served two terms as U.S. poet laureate and during his first term won the Pulitzer Prize for his book of poems, Delights & Shadows, from Copper Canyon Press. His most recent books are for children, Bag in the Wind (2010) and House Held Up By Trees (2012) both from Candlewick Press. He lives in rural Nebraska and teaches poetry and essay writing half time at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
