J. Preston Witt

J. Preston Witt is from Flushing, Michigan. His fiction has appeared in Ninth Letter Online and The New Guard and is forthcoming in the Red76 anthology Trainwreck. He finished his MFA from The Ohio State University in May 2014 and is the founding editor of the education project PhoneFiction.

 

 

Maxine Rosaler

Maxine Rosaler’s fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in The Southern Review, Glimmer Train, Fifth Wednesday, and New York Press. She is a recipient of a New York Foundation for the Arts Fiction Fellowship and a story of hers was cited in an edition of The Best American Short Stories. She is also the author of a number of young adult nonfiction books. “The Uncle” is part of a collection of short stories that take place in New York City during the 1980s.

 

Michael Lacare

Michael Lacare grew up in Long Island, New York and moved to Florida when he was twenty-one. His essays and stories have appeared in numerous literary magazines. He lives in Florida with his wife and children, where he is currently at work on a novel.

 

 

Tamas Dobozy

Tamas Dobozy is a professor at Wilfrid Laurier University. He has published three books of short fiction, When X Equals Marylou, Last Notes and Other Stories, and Siege 13: Stories, the last of which won the 2012 Rogers’ Writers Trust of Canada Fiction Prize and was shortlisted for the 2012 Governor General’s Award for Fiction. He has published over 50 stories in North American and British journals including Fiction, AGNI, One Story, and Granta, and won an O. Henry Prize in 2011.

 

Bridget Apfeld

A native of Wisconsin, Bridget Apfeld is currently a student in the University of North Carolina-Wilmington’s MFA program, where she specializes in fiction. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in various literary journals, including Dislocate, Prick of the Spindle, So to Speak, Better: Culture & Lit and Verse Wisconsin.
