Susan Cohen is the author of Throat Singing (Cherry Grove Collections; 2012). Her most recent poems appear or are forthcoming in Greensboro Review, Nimrod, Southern Humanities Review, and Valparaiso Poetry Review, as well as several anthologies. In 2011, she won the Rita Dove Poetry Award, the Anderbo Poetry Prize, an Atlanta Review International Publication Prize, and was a finalist for both the Pablo Neruda Poetry Prize and the Rumi Prize for Poetry. She lives in Berkeley, where she’s a journalist and an MFA candidate in Pacific University’s low-residency program.
