John Christopher Nelson was raised between ninety-four acres of chaparral in San Diego County and a defunct mining town in the Nevada high desert. He earned his BA in American Literature from UCLA, where he was executive editor of Westwind. John is a graduate of the Stonecoast MFA in Creative Writing, where he has served a variety of roles—including editor-in-chief—on the Stonecoast Review. John has work forthcoming in Indicia and Chiron Review, and is published in Stone House: A Literary Anthology. His writing was included in It’s All Been Done before but Not by Me, an installation through the Hammer Museum. He currently lives in Seattle.
