Beth Paulson leads writing workshops on the Western Slope of Colorado, where she has lived since 1999. Previously, Paulson taught English at California State University, Los Angeles, for more than twenty years. She currently leads Poetica, a monthly workshop for poets, and also codirects the Open Bard Literary Series in Ridgway. In April 2018, she was named the first Poet Laureate of Ouray County. Paulson’s poems have been published widely in national literary magazines and anthologies, and have been four times nominated for Pushcart Prizes. Her fifth collection of poems, Immensity, was published in 2016 by Kelsay Books. A book Paulson coauthored with Don Paulson, Images of the Mountain West in Photographs and Poems, was published in 2019.
