A. E. Stallings is an American poet currently residing in Athens, Greece.
Her first collection,
Archaic Smile, was selected by
Dana Gioia for the Richard Wilbur Award, and is available from the University
of Evansville Press. Her work has been awarded a Puschart Prize, the Eunice
Tietjens Memorial Prize from Poetry, the James Dickey Poetry Prize from
Five Points, and was included in Best American Poetry, 1994. She has work
forthcoming in Light, Poetry, Shenandoah, and the Yale
