Rachel Hadas is the author of more than a dozen books of poems, essays, and translations. She teaches in the English Department of Rutgers University (Newark) and has also taught writing at Columbia, Princeton, the Sewanee Writers Conference, the Wesleyan Writers Conference, and the West Chester poetry conference. Her new book of prose, Merrill, Cavafy, Poems, and Dreams, will be out later this summer from Michigan Press Poets on Poetry series. Next year she will be a Fellow at the New York Public Library Center for Scholars and Writers.
