Born and raised in Manila Philippines, Anna Romero grew up as an expat in her own country. Her family is originally from the Philippines (the island of Cebu) and, naturalized Italian. She began an early career as a Classical Pianist which lasted between pre-school and high school, where she achieved First Place in a National Piano Teacher's Guild Competition as well as Semi-Finalist in a National Music Competition for Young Artists (NAMCYA), both held in the prestigious Folk Arts Theatre.
She moved to the United States upon reaching adulthood where she gained her undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of San Francisco. For over fifteen years, she has worked as a Consultant and Systems Engineer for various Silicon Valley-based companies such as IBM Corporation, EMC Corporation and a series of storage startup companies. She currently holds dual citizenship of the US and the European Union. While she claims to be “just a thinker”, among her interests are boxing, running, reading and writing. This is her first publication.
