Rachel Hadas is Board of Governors Professor of English at the Newark campus of Rutgers University. She is the author of numerous books of poetry, essays, and translations. Most recently, she co-edited the anthology The Greek Poets: Homer to the Present (Norton, 2009). Here latest books of poetry are The Ache of Appetite Copper Beech Press, 2010), and The River of Forgetfulness (WordTech Communications, 2006). Forthcoming in 2011 is a book of prose about her husband’s illness entitled Strange Relation: A Memoir of Marriage, Dementia, and Poetry (Paul Dry Books).
