Default Well Done

A time has come to call it to end
This journey to save and defend
the honor of a Pelican
Each did their part
And did it with heart
And Vernon's gone to the till again.

I will be contributing $100.00 tomorrow and another $100.00 the first week in May and $50.00 more the first week in June so that can all be included in Alex's budget. Hope this works for everyone. It has been a delight.

There once was a light versican
who likened himself to a pelican.
His tense was terse,
his verse was worse,
but he thought he out-funnied Spike Milligan.

PS Cross-posted with you, Vernon. Thanks for doing it.

Thanks again for your generosity, Vernon.

The sphere is richer for having you around - literally and figuratively.

Jayne

I got caught up in this 'Time' problem (see Maryann's thread) and went backwards, hence my deleted post up above - now TWO deleted posts. Weird!

This was posted after Frank's and Roger's, but has ended up here in spite of three attempts to re-post it. I wonder what's going on. Is any else having the same problem?

There once was a dreadful light versican
Who likened himself to a pelican
His tense was terse
His verse was worse
Could his meter be worser? The hell, it can.

Can someone write verse that is worse? I can.
