I published a Formal poem for the first time. A sestina called "Multnomah Falls" that appeared here a while ago. An editor of a tiny, local and irregular literary journal requested it after hearing me read it at a coffeehouse open-mic.
The publication is called "Freudian Shrimp", and could be ordered through Powell's Books on-line...maybe they'll become collectables?
I've had poems published before-- perhaps in 8 or 10 differant places. But all free-verse, and all on the internet. The most distinguished venues were, I suppose, Taverner's Koans and Absinthe Literary Review.
I'm not very energetic about this sort of thing.
(I didn't give Josh a bio, so he wrote his own. He described me as a "soft-spoken neo-formalist" because they allways have to turn up the mike for me.)

Congratulations not only on getting the poem published, but on having it published at the editor's request. I think one dream that most writers have is to have the editors coming to them asking for their work. I remember the poem and am especially glad it's finding an audience. My poem "Upriver," which is just now making its way down the Metrical Poetry board, is set but a few miles east of Multnomah Falls, up towards The Dalles where Celilo Falls were inundated after the building of the John Day dam.

Belated congratulations, and I think you will have an opportunity to publish many more formal poems.

And I guess I can see why shrimp would be Freudian, scuttling along the ocean floor as they do--awash in anxiety about becoming batterfried or a prop for glops of cocktail sauce...
