Default Lewis and Clark Foundation

Clay Jenkinson (of the Jefferson Hour on Public Radio) contacted me to ask if we could move publication of Hunter's Log up from next September to this September. We can't, because it is to be illustrated by the great Eldridge Hardie, www.eldridgehardie.com (the cover painting on his website is the cover of my book, though the illustrations will be pen and ink). So instead they're going to bring out a far more important book this fall: Mortal Stakes/Faint Thunder, a 180 page manuscript that collects the work from August 2001 to August 2009. I haven't published an individual collection since 2002, so I am ecstatic about this. Almost all the poems were workshopped here, the inception of the first volume coinciding with that of The Deep End.
