Marcia, FWIW, your review gave me goosebumps. I shiver to remember the Iliad's roll call of death shining behind the poetry and in your review.

The Iliad is the book I'd take with me to a desert island over all others. Alice Oswald's Memorial is a book I must have. Maybe i can find it when I'm in the US. I'll certainly try.
