Karen Bjorneby lives in San Francisco with her husband and teenage daughter. She has been writing short fiction for ten years and is currently working on a novel and has just begun now to write poetry as well. Her stories have been published in Louisiana Literature, Farmers Market, The Sun, Descant, Rosebud, Press, Passages North, New Orleans Review, Nebraska Review, and Confrontation (forthcoming), and two have been nominated for Pushcart Prizes. The poems published in Able Muse are her first published pieces of poetry.
