Escape of a Guinea Pig
I’m bored, I’m bored! There’s nothing to do.
I’ve eaten my carrot, and took a nap, too.
I’ve run ’round my wheel about 400 times.
All that is left is to practice my climbs.
I’ll start on the food bowl, and give a good hop.
One of these jumps I’ll go over the top.
I’m out, I’m out! There’s so much to do!
In here is a bedroom, I’ll taste every shoe.
I’ll nibble on magazines left on the floor.
The closet door’s open, that’s more to explore.
I’ll visit the bookshelves, becoming well read.
Then under the dresser and under the bed.
Fun dust balls before me, beside me, behind me.
Till it’s time for supper I hope they don’t find me.
