As far as I'm aware, Jerome, there's no difference in the protection of D & A than in the other boards, other than that they get 'pruned' from time to time and D & A doesn't (...or maybe that's what you meant?).

I'm beginning to think it would be a good idea to move The Oldie comp to Deep Drills now. I'll see what John thinks as we moderate the board together.

(I don't mind being contacted for the DD password, as with Nigel today, for instance, so it needn't impinge on any members' accessibility.)
