Default Speccie Second Thoughts

Well we really zapped it to them. Our four top guns, Bazza and Bill on the side of the pond, Chris and Frank over there. Can we win all the prizes one day? Some of us will have to do better if that is to come to pass. This week's effort, well I don't know what to make of it. But you will, I'm sure.

No. 2739: second thoughts

I take it you're not an eBayer then, John?

I've just checked my account and I've done 116 transactions, somewhat to my surprise, but Oh! I remember my first-ever purchase, which I shall write about for this comp. I didn't have a clue what I was doing and pressed 'Commit to buy' with about five seconds of the auction left. Bad move.

I'm now totally hooked on eBay. Love it. You should try it, but gen up on it first!

Congrats to Bazza, Bill, Chris and Frank for this week's wins. Well done, guys.

Jayne

I shall wait to see what other people make of this, particularly you, Jayne. People are always selling model trainsets on eBay.

People sell just about everything under the sun on eBay, John.

My daughter and her boyfriend have bought an old ambulance, to convert into a motorhome. They re-sold the stretcher and gurney on eBay at a delightfully high price, preferring to install a sofa bed they can both sleep on.

I'll make a start on my poem then. I haven't done a Speccie entry for weeks, so I must get back into the habit of at least making an attempt.

Julie Stoner (where art thou?) wrote a great poem about eBay with a smatter of -oogle rhymes. I bought my car off of eBay and loved it until the day it became too beautiful for the world. It will likely be the only car I ever own.

Oh come, Orwn. I am sure you will purr up and down in a black Lexus with a bar in the back.
