Default New Statesman -- children's lit love story -- October 17 deadline

No 4296
By Leonora Casement

We want excerpts from a love story involving a celebrated character from children’s fiction. Of course, there’s always Just William (“To the woods!” said William. “What for?” said Violet Elizabeth. “Are you going to play with me?”), Alice and Pooh. But how about a Very Hungry Caterpillar or the Gruffalo?

Thanks Ann. Still needs a final polish, but I was pleased with it on the whole.

Very good, Rob, though you might consider changing " xxxxxxxxxxxxx " to " xxxxxxxxxxx. ".

And are you sure that xxxxxxxx would have done it that way up?

I'd never have thought of that, Brian. You've made me wonder.
