Converting to DADA
Hey folks,
Normally, I avoid talking about acceptances, but this one's combined with a reading announcement. Today brings news of the inclusion of my poem "One must have resonance" in Maintenant5: A Journal of Contemporary Dada Poetry & Art, along with an invitation to read at Cornelia St. Cafe in New York City on March 18. Yep, that's me, well-known Dadaist poet!
I know some people wanted to get to the reading in NYC earlier this month, but missed it. Here's another chance, and this time we don't have to be back in DC by 8 am the next day, so maybe there'll be a chance to party.
The reading invitation suggests we come in costume. Since everyone else will be dressed in ostrich feathers and cowls and the like, I'm thinking of showing up in top hat and tails!
Thanks,
Bill

I'm still trying to wrap my head around dadaist poets being scheduled to appear somewhere at a certain time, and actually doing so. Talk about herding cats. Well, you will be the king of cats. Good luck, and congrats.

Neo-dadaists are notoriously punctual.
I'll give it my best shot, Bill.

That's an interesting venue, and according to the Cornelia Website (click & page to Dada on March 18) (which seems to have currently dimmed it's print visuals in favor of the photos) this is at the 6:00PM feature-and-open-microphone session called SON OF PONY, with Kat Georges, host. The next act starts at 9 pm, so there might be time for some fun with me too in my Estes Kefauver cap, all other things being favorable that day, and if I can rent the fur. Who knows, maybe we'll jive all alive. I'm a Dada, you're a Dada... Very scary.
Hope my luck holds out.

Reason: PS: Kat Georges is the quietest, timidest host.

Hot Flash! It looks mighty like I will be listening to lectures on Suetonius and Vicipaedia at Mt Holyoke that day, so Nemo will have to wear my raccoon hat and tail.

My elephant is in the bottle, but granular specifics conclude. Tzara, Tzara, Tzara!

I would enter this event in my calendar, but my calendar seems to have melted.
