Upcoming Publications
Just received word this morning from Les Murray, who has accepted "Wherein the Snow is Hid" for an upcoming issue of Quadrant.
Other upcoming publications:
Measure ("Composure", "Intervals" and "November")
Mezzo Cammin ("White Night" and "Ribbons")
American Arts Quarterly (my "Edward Hopper's Automat" will be reprinted online along with a reproduction of the painting;
First Things ("When")
LightenUp Online ("Heartburn" - a Millay parody)
Thank you to Spherians who helped with critiques and suggestions!

Thanks to all who have posted their kind messages. It's been a difficult year-and-a-half, with little time or energy for writing, so I really appreciate these little bits of good news.
The only sort of "bad" news is that my second full-length collection, Glad and Sorry Seasons, (Bibilioasis Press, Windsor, Ontario) will be out on March 1, 2014 instead of this fall. The silver lining to it is that they will feature my book in their 10-year anniversary roster, and I'll be traveling around Canada for launches and readings. I also hope to have it available at the West Chester University Bookstore in time for the 2014 conference, which I also hope to attend.
Once again, thank you, Spherians, for your valuable help in my revisions of many of the poems in my upcoming book and to the editors who deemed them worthy of publication in their journals.
♥ Cathy

That is a handsome haul, Cathy, and I hope I'll make it to West Chester in 2014.

Wonderful news on your brilliant "Automat" - and with the painting. A perfect outcome.
