Mrs. Anna Evans has accepted "In His Beak An Olive Branch" for the next issue of "BarefootMuse". I am glad that there will be a sound file with that pub. I always enjoy that journal.
After years of submitting my poems and translations to "Arion" I am ecstatic to announce that the editor, Herbert Golder, accepted my original poems "Helen's Iliad" and "The Marriage of Peleus and Thetis" for its next issue. This means a lot to me because I, as a Classicist and poet, could not imagine a more intimidating line-up for an editorial board--Bernard Knox, Oliver Taplin, Anne Carson, Camille Paglia, etc., scholars I relied on and deferred to when I was in school.

Optime, Aaron, on all this, though we understand why the Arion acceptances are especially meaningful, and we're happy for you.

Good news, Aaron. The Arion acceptance sounds like a real high water mark.
Anna is taking my "Dolphin Weather" in the Barefoot Muse, so I'll see you there.

Congratulations! (I can't even get Arion to send me a response!)

Congratulations. As I understand it Anna Evans is taking over the Raintown Review from Tom Kerrigan after the next issue.

Nice work, Aaron. That Arion acceptance DOES sound hard-fought and well-earned.
I'll also be in The Barefoot Muse this time around with a fairly recent piece of mine called "Graphic Nature."

Thanks, all. Glad that I will be in your company, Shaun. Are you going to make a sound file of your poem? Hope so.
Yes, Tim, that's good news--I like Mrs. Evans' taste so much that I would be happy if she were the editor of dozens of journals. I am also glad to see that Quincy will be involved.
Mike, I pm'ed you.
