I don't need a free copy, having just bought the book, but I'm here to testify that it is full of wonderful poems, and we should all get it one way or another.

Default And here's an insightful review....

With thanks to Gail for the great endorsement, I'll bump this up today because the giveaway is still going on, and because there's now a very perceptive review of the book on Jeff Sypeck's Quid Plura blog.

The review is excellent and accurate in its appreciation of the book.

Maryann,

This is wonderful! The review brought me to tears. (And no, reviews don't normally do that to me.) and having been saddled with medical expenses sans viable insurance, among other things one doesn't admit to on the sphere, the giveaway means a chance I may get the book sooner than otherwise. It's a must-have in any case. With a five-star cover too.

Siham

Yes, that's one good review! And I did sign up for the book. Just checked the site. There are hundreds of applicants! Well, I didn't count, but many. And only one book, right? I am curious to know how the lucky person is chosen. Not to compete with Siham--and kudos for honesty, Siham!--but, well, I am certainly a candidate in the down-on-her-luck department! However, I assume many others are too. So... Is it a lottery? Based on how many Goodreads reviews one has submitted? (I fail there for sure!)

Charlotte

Thanks, Susan, Siham, and Charlotte, and let me assure you that it's a lottery pure and simple--one's number of Goodreads reviews isn't relevant at all. Goodreads picks somebody at random, tells me who, and I mail the book.

Yes, it's just one book right now, but I'm planning to do the whole thing again a little later, maybe a month or six weeks on. That's two books; best of luck to both aspirants.

I signed up, too. If I don’t get a free copy, though, I’ll just go order one.

"Countries available: US", it says, but I think I should have it sent across The Pond.

Deciding which American citizen deserves to get the much-coveted book will pose a big problem --- so I've just solved it, right?
