The Power of Love in Quadrant
My poem 'The Power of Love' in the October Quadrant was workshopped here. I remember a discussion about the word 'ensorcelled' which many of you thought a bit over the top. Holly came to my aid on this one and there it is. I don't know anyone else who has used it since Sir Richard Burton.
I find workshopping very useful. My last poem was considerably improved by suggestions from Sphereans. It's off to Bunyah to see what Les Murray thinks.

Old Possum uses 'haruspication' in one of his poems as I recall, so why can't you have 'ensorcelled'? I love the word. It ensorcels me.
I'd also love to see the poem if you can find it in your heart. I'll bat my eyelashes if that helps.

Sounds wonderful, John! Quadrant is one of those dream venues I can only read in my imagination. (As in "I dreamed last night I was on a cloud, reading Quadrant...") Sounds fabulous!

Thank you, Siham. You can read Quadrant if you subscribe. On line isn't so much. And of course you can send poems to them. They go to Les Murray, that great and good man.
Youn shall have it, Mary.
And you, Michael. I used 'haruspex' in a poem. One that has got me shedloads of money, heh, heh.

And if you're still feeling generous, may I have a power postcard too?
