Default Caravaggio in The Ekphrastic Review

Hi folks,

My poem on Caravaggio's Crucifixion of St Peter is now up at The Ekphrastic Review: https://www.ekphrastic.net/

Scroll down the page and you will also find an ekphrastic challenge and "The Castle at Chermomor; or, The Troubador's Song" by the Sphere's own Felicity Teague.

Cheers,
John

Hooray! 🥳 (party person)

Congratulations, John. And thanks for mentioning one Felicity Teague. In case it's useful, here's a direct link to your poem.

I haven't got around to the challenge before; I might give it a go if something engaging turns up

Best wishes,
Fliss

Thanks Fliss - handy to have that link! The website kind of runs a steady scroll, for thsoe who don't know, rather like Kerouac's On the Road or a Torah scroll, and I don't know how to send directly to the poem.

Great site for anyone interested in ekphrastic verse.

Cheers,
John

You're welcome, John; happy to help with the link

Steady scroll, yes. I remember when my 'Cathedral' was published last year; I provided the general link to various members of Team Teague, only to find that the next day brought details of the Sex Contest, which was a surprise for some. I still don't know which poem won that comp, by the way, but I'm comfortable with being a constant finalist, I suppose.

Anyway, I agree TER's terrific for ekphrastic verse!

Best wishes,
Fliss

Greetings, Fliss!

I guess a comment from me won’t raise or lower this thread any, so I’ll take a moment to thank you for a pleasant chat. Your new poem seems to be generating some buzz, that’s nice.
Also, yes: The Ekphrastic Review. I have another coming out in a few days, which I’ll link to then. 🙂

Cheers,
John

Hello again, John!

Yes, you might as well comment to say thanks. And buzzing is good. I'm delighted there'll be another poem from you in TER, so soon after this one; I look forward to reading it

Best wishes,
Fliss
