Edited with apologies. We are new to this picture posting lark.
This allows me to apologise for my illiterate heading.

This is to announce Jim Hayes's forthcoming book
to be published by Clock & Rose,
designed by Robert Ward,
and illustrated by Janet Kenny.

A letter from Jimmy Joyous to Mickey Spillane.
Murder, Spill-Anne,
.....
Yes, turd, aye, was one expectorant evening
as I combobulated through a flatulent
this trict of Edenbro going to meet a date--
a gorgeus laphopper who was big, big
into systemputering. One eye came uppondem,
confestering on a corner-- a dihissence
of effluentescent dodgy vague-errants.
.....
A sourcoughagain feeling of malepropitiousness
came over me. “ I’ll be a lotto fatchewus good
to Annie Wan”, I meamerdamned
to myself franticulatiously , “If I should freak
titty rate now” Just then she scareemed into view,
a cistlecomious Polyproponesian on a locopolarity.
“Hop on!” She said, “the time has come to defoliate,
to uxurcum our base grootlefires!”.
.....
I said;
“yesohyesbabybabyyyessssohyesssohhhhyessss
yesbabyasIthoughtofthethinkingof it
ohyessyesbabywithsomeblackpudding
andanicepieceofliverohyesyesyesyes
yesyesssssdarebabybabydaredarerighttherebaby
aaaaathere!
.....
I tell you,
I was in Eden, bro.
.....
Saw your nara,
You roan;
Jimmy Joyous.

Many thanks to Alex Pepple for restoring my botched post.

Jim's poems were a source of delight and inspiration.

Janet and I have been working on this for some five months during which time she produced approx fifty wonderful illustrations.

This one is a particular pleasure with the rather po faced Joyce wearing a garish nude tie, a wonderful stroke by Janet.

One of the great delights of the co-operation was the senae of anticipation Una and I enjoyed as we downloaded Janet's latest effort. Inevitably it was a source of wonderment and hilarity.

I couldn't put it better than Michael Cantor; "The sensitivity and intelligence of Janet's drawings underscore Jim's words"

Indeed.

If possible I would like to show one other item by Janet which illustrates her breadth of scope. Perhaps she might post
And Only God Knows What Not to showcase me, you've all read it, but to allow me to bask in the reflected
glory of being smart enough to recognize Janet's talent and associate myself with it.

Thank you Janet, I am very proud.

Jim

I've read the manuscript, and the poems and illustrations dance beautifully together. The nude babe on Jimmy's tie is really priceless. For everything else, there's Mastercard.

Thanks much Tim, I know I speak for Janet when I say how much we appreciate your recognition. Terese, I know, tried to contribute, but seemingly cannot post.

Jim

Janet & Jim,

I had this reply window open last week, when a visitor from Porlock distracted me, and I didn't get back to it.

What a great collaborations of 'Sphericals this is!

Janet, that is an excellent Joyce, to go with Jim's poem.

I can't wait to see the book, with all the poems and illustrations.

Congratulations to both artists!

Hello ME and Mark,
Many thanks on behalf of Jim and myself.

Jim and Robert Ward will post the announcement when the book is launched. I am excited by the prospect and can hardly wait to see it. Jim's mad world becomes even funnier and clearer when read as a collection. His more serious poems add depth to what are already pretty deep waters.

Very best,
Janet

I was going to comment a few days ago when I thought of the thinking of it, but then I got disgrossed and entracted and somehow never got around to the getting around to it.

I'm overfluent with congratulauditory compliments. Fifty drawings! And the same number of poems, or more? A cooperative e-manation devoutly to be wished. What a wondrous thing is the Internet!
