Third one
A poem I workshopped here, Bhudda Says Live as if Already Dead, will be published in the Houston Poetry Fest Anthology this year. Fourth poem published in my lifetime. The count is rising!
Okay I meant for the title of this to be 'Fourth one.'

Reason: explaining the title

Thanks guys. Nemo, your thumbs up on that one was a deciding factor in submission. So, you know, like, uh, double thanks.

Hi Garrett, congratulations. The Houston Fest is a great event with readings, technical talks, good networking, and publication in the anthology. Have you attended previous Fests? Is Robert Clark still the Event Chair? While at the UT Medical Branch in Galveston, I was a Juried Poet when Lorenzo Thomas was Liaison with the Univ. of Houston. He has since died -- a real loss to the South-East Texas literary landscape. I still keep contact with Prof. John Gorman, who teaches at UH Clearlake and was a special guide for me. He usually attends the Fest, so if you meet him, give him my greetings and continued admiration for his work with the Galveston Roundtable.
Good work. Regards wkg

Thanks Will, Adam. Nah Adam let it stand as a testament to how poorly I count fingers.
Will, yes Robert Clark is still the Event chair, and John Gorman will most likely be there. He's a fine fun poet. Did you attend First Fridays? Robert still hosts it and John almost always reads, as do I. How long ago were you here?
This will be my second year as a juried poet.

Garrett, I did read at First Friday when Lorenzo was there in the late '90s.
Please tell John Gorman I said "greetings" & I still follow the Galveston Rountable by e-mail.
Cheers wkg
