I enjoyed that too - tricky to do Dürer justice, but you did. I enjoyed how the poem was a reflection, in my reading, not just on that painting, but on the idea of painting. The mention of stillness reminded me of Berger.

That's very kind of you, Sarah-Jane. I don't recognize the name Berger, but yes, stillness is quite important to me, as perhaps to Durer.

I have another couple coming out with TER in March, on Bosch's Temptation of St Anthony and on Caravaggio's Martyrdom of Peter. I very much value how TER presents each ekphrastic poem alongside the artwork that inspired it. It's a good venue.
