West Chester transport travails (oh woe is me!)
My own transport needs are, if someone could help:
1. A lift down from New York on Wednesday. I'd pitch in for gas, etc
2. Failing that, a lift to WCU from the Philly 30th St. Train Station.
Simply put, Rick's leaving on Tuesday, and I have a gig that night. I simply can't afford Amtrak on top of an international flight immediately afterward that was excrucuiatingly expensive, plus two weeks of catsitters' fees. So if I must do trains, it has to be the far cheaper New Jersey Transit and SEPTA.
As for the end of the conference, I'm flying out of Philly to Dublin on the 10th, so the shuttle will work... but... my flight is at 9 PM, so does anyone want to hang around Philly with me for a few hours?

Okay, reiterating. I can't afford Amtrak, people!

Q,
I cannot tell when you are arriving where.
Can you re-state it or send me an email. I have a feeling I cannot help, but I'm willing to try...
Dave
PS: Consider alternatives to the cat.

Dave--
I doubt you can help, unfortunately, as what I'm looking for is a lift from New York City to West Chester on Wednesday. Failing that, a lift from the 30th St. Station in Philadelphia mid-dayish. There is an excruciatingly complicated way of getting all the way to West Chester by cheaper public transport--two trains followed by two buses--but I'd like to avoid that if at all possible. As for the cat, he has diabetes and is on a strict diet. I can't just leave out a huge bowl of water and ten days' food. A catsitter (not in-residence, but someone who'll pop in twice a day) is a necessity.
Thanks for the kind thought, though.
Quincy
P.S.--To be utterly clear, the schedule conflict with Rick wasn't at his end, but my band is, like, playing Arlene's Grocery that Tuesday night, man! No aspersions whatsoever were intended.

Quincy,
I'm leaving Philly at about 4:00 and driving to West Chester on Weds (June 6). I could swing by the train station and pick you up at there. It would save you a subway and bus ride. Don't worry about the gas. It's a car share ride and gas is included.

Quincy,
Four-fifteen would be good. I'll send you my cell-phone number by personal message, if that's okay. And I'll see you at the Eastern doorway on the 6th.
Cheers,
Rob
