Default Beagle in Raintown

Raintown Review accepted a run of 10 poems from my "Sonnets from The Voyage of the Beagle" for an upcoming issue. I'm really happy to debut poems from the series in Raintown. And the generous stretch should convey a good feel for the work as a whole, which includes 112 poems. Thanks to Anna Evans, Jeff Holt, and Quincy Lehr, editors. And thanks to Eratosphere regulars who helped with several sonnets this year.

A review of my book Soutine is due in the next Raintown, I am told.

Elsewhile, Measure accepted my sonnet, "Red, Red, Red", a few months back. A journal called Same, edited by Martin Mitchel, is taking "Stroke", "At the Bottom of the Rambla", and "Dark Ships". Same has published a lot of our friends, including Meredith Bergmann.

My sonnet crown "Lexanne" is due out in Rabbit Ears, an anthology of poetry on TV, in which Holly Martins will also be published. I recently submitted a seven-minute video accompanying my reading of the poem to editor Joel Allegretti. I will notify in the comments here when he posts it. Wow, what fun!

Thanks again for help on all of these. I would be nowhere without the Sphere--well, I'd be somewhere, but not here.

Rick

Wow, way to go Rick! TEN sonnets -- plus all the other neat stuff!
Congratulations, indeed.

Speaking of Measure, I understand that the second issue for 2013 is at last in the mail, and should contain a host of the usual suspects.

Wow, great haul, Rick. Especially to have such a meaty sample from the Beagle poems. Congrats and . . . woof!

.... and,.....and... my sonnet "The Sandwich Man of Thornall Towers" will be in Headmistress Press' highly anticipated Irresistible Sonnets, also due out this year. Reading a book of sonnets edited by Mary Meriam will be like mainlining something from the top shelf!

OK, I am all boasted out.

Thanks, Charlotte! et al.

Impressive, Rick! The Darwin series is amazing. It ought to bring in more subscribers to Raintown. And all those other publications. You're on a roll! Huge congrats,

Siham
