If your age is still in single digits, you'll be sure to enjoy the poem of the week on the Light homepage:

Delightful. Also for those with double digits.

Chris —

Thanks. I got some smiles. The last one is lingering pleasantly.

Janice, David, Woody -- Thanks. Glad you like it. Melissa Balmain is not only one of the best light verse poets writing today, she's also a smart editor. The published poem is better than the one I submitted, thanks to some metrical adjustments she proposed. If you've got some funny work cluttering up your desk, Light is an excellent place to submit. (I also recommend Martin Parker's Lighten Up Online, currently being guest-edited by Jerome Betts.)

Great work, Chris. I knew you were a children's poet.

Default Thanks, Chris...

... both for the lovely shout-out and for letting folks know about the POTW. I meant to start posting regularly whenever a Spherean is our Poet of the Week, but got swamped by work on Light's second online issue (due out any day now)!
