Stone Canoe sonnet
Stone Canoe, A Journal of Arts, Literature, and Social Commentary has now arrived, a bit late due to P.O. issues, apparently. This is Number 9 of the multi-prizewinning upstate NY annual, and I'm happy to say it contains a poem of mine, "Tooth and Claw."
Also, please see General Announcements for updated information about my new book, *Shot Silk*.

I've always been curious about Stone Canoe. If you are in it, that is a recommendation. WTG, Terese.

Thanks, Janice! You should try to get to the Adirondack Park while you're in the US--a huge wilderness area and great for mountain hikes!

Congrats, Terese! Great name for a magazine---now I'm curious! (I'm also a huge fan of Upstate N.Y.)

I've had a chance to read Stone Canoe now, and see that Austin McRae has a classic North Country poem in it, "Burn Pile"~~congratulations, Austin!
My special thanks to Editor Robert Colley and Poetry Editor Bruce Bennett. The former has announced, fyi, that future issues will be published by the Downtown Writer's Center of the Syracuse YMCA, and the editorial leadership will pass to Phil Memmer, the Executive Director of DWC. RC writes in this issue "I can't think of a better person to take the helm (ok, paddle?) and steer the publication on to greater success and prosperity. Thanks, Phil, for taking this on, and goodspeed."
And health, success, and goodspeed to you, Robert Colley, as well! You've done an admirable and highly recognized job.

Congrats Terese!
And if I remember correctly, it’s about 45 mph in the Syracuse area!
