Temenos Academy Review.
It’s an excerpt from the Prologue to Cristoforo Landino’s important Dante commentary of 1481, in which Landino (who was a scholar-poet and a teacher of Marsilio Ficino, Lorenzo de’ Medici, and others) explains his view of poetry, poets, and especially of Dante himself. The piece ends with Landino’s quoting of Marsilio Ficino on Dante and Florence.
