Back on November 19, we began a long discussion on GT about the Deep End. In the course of the discussion we proposed some rule changes, and those changes have now been approved by Alex.

Alex and I have changed the Announcement area at the top of the Deep End board--the spot labeled "Deep End! Please read before posting!"--to contain the text of the new guidelines.

Our thanks to everyone who took part in the discussion. We think the changes will make this board a better place to be.

I think there was a big effort and a large expenditure of time and concern by everyone involved - both pro and con.

Many thanks to all who participated and most especially to the mods (and ex-mods) who not only participated but who listened so willingly and who streamlined the details into a coherent, workable and easily understood paragraph or two.

Also to Alex, who ok-ed the thing.
