More on the Translation DG
Petra has found Geoffrey Brock's
"Statement of Poetics"
which will be of interest to anyone who'd like to know what kind of writing GB prefers. He's reassuringly eclectic, and averse to categories.
Thanks for the link, Petra.

I'm pleased to report that our DG has taken all the translations submitted for the Bake-off, thereby relieving me of hatchet-wielding duty.
Geoffrey will make his own selection of 10-12 and will start posting his comments from the middle of the month.

Hey, that's cool!
Are we allowed to know just how many submissions he has?

Seventeen subs winged their way to Lafayetteville. A small but select band of Erato's finest!
