From the judging criteria: Poems will be judged on the basis of how thought-provoking, well-crafted, and original they are, and how well they adhere to the theme of Community.
Wow, Martin, I'm so thrilled for you - and your poem is indeed thought-provoking, well-crafted, original and adheres brilliantly to the theme.
Huge congratulations, my friend!

Oh, I was confusing it with the Rhysling award. No matter, well done in both instances.

Thanks, Rick!
And thanks again, Janice. Regarding the Rhysling award, I have been twice nominated, and two of my poems have appeared in the anthology. (I’m keeping my fingers crossed for this year’s award, though the chances are slim.) I did, however, manage to get a couple of prizes in the Science Fiction Poetry Association’s annual contest.
I usually stay clear of those with a huge entry fee. I’ve been lucky, though, with some of these freebies!
