Default Agenda

One of my Heinrich Heine translations has been published in the new issue of Agenda, though I haven't yet received my copies.

The Regional Issue of Fugue should be out soon with one of my poems, The Connecticut Review will soon publish three translations from the French, and I will have a poem in the next issue of Raintown Review as well.

They are all feathers to adorn your hat, but I think especially Agenda.
My hat is doffed.

I particularly liked your piece in the last Raintown, where I read you as Dionysos with Ariadne.

How I'd love to get into Agenda, Terese - congratulations on that, and on Raintown. Great achievements. Do bring your talents to us in Translation some time.

Many thanks, Janice, Marcia, Allen, and Adam.

It's a thrill to be in Agenda again, and possibly a few more translations will appear in the next issue. They sometimes have guest editors.

I'm going to enjoy seeing Fugue when it gets here since it's from the University of Idaho and I love re-connecting with a state (and region) where my daughter and I once lived in the 70s, at over 6,000 feet. Too beautiful. Not enough work. The Summer 2009 issue had an interview with BH Fairchild, I see from their website (which doesn't show the interview, unfortunately).

The CR and RR involve a longer wait, and always worth it of course. BTW, Allen, is that a joke? Or...? (Please reply by email if you're actually serious, as I find your email crits valuable and astute.)

Adam, thanks for the invitation (I helped to "preview" or experiment with a precursor to the Translation Board here at Eratosphere, did you know?). You may want to look at a few translations I placed in Agenda as well as in the online component of their "A Reconsideration of Rainer Maria Rilke" issue a few years ago; for the online component, the link is:

http://www.agendapoetry.co.uk/featured-translations.php

(You'll need to scroll down for their selection my Rilke translations, and then farther down for a few of my Borges translations plus one from Lope de Vega). I hope you enjoy them half as much as I loved doing them!

I've admired and envied those translations for some time, Terese. "rasping Anglo-Saxons" - wonderful!
