Default Soundzine 11 In Gear

Hi, folks!

The new issue of Soundzine is live and in living color! Please give us a look and a listen.

http://www.soundzine.net

We would also like to announce our new Poetry Editor - Sherry O'Keefe. Many of you may know Sherry from The Sphere or her many, many publications. We are thrilled to be working with her.

We are grateful for all the support we've received from poets here at Erato, and we hope to continue to be a strong venue for such fine work.

Best to all of you!

-Charles Musser

Can't wait to read it, Charles! Soundzine is always a treat.

Warm congratulations to both Soundzine for nabbing Sherry and to Sherry for her new appointment to an already strong team.

A wonderful combination.

I can honestly say this is one of the best Sounzines I've seen (and heard.)

A triumph in the face of adversity.

Love the artwork, and the company.

Well done Charles and Co.

In a strong field, I have to say my favourite is Ann Drysdale's contribution. Her poems/readings made me laugh out loud.

Philip

Good company indeed. I am delighted to be in it and immoderately chuffed by Philip's kind accolade.

BUT - at the risk of sounding like an Oscar-fondler, I must thank the Sphereans who rallied to my call for help with the recording, starting with John's "take the green plug and look for the green hole" and ending with Charles's selfless holding of my hand across the Atlantic during the moment of consummation, so to speak.

Bless you!

Fondle that Oscar, Ann. The recording sounds great and the bird poem is enormous fun. I wonder why I imagined you having more of an alto voice, though.

Beautiful issue.

The first time's always difficult, Ann. It'll get better. Promise.

Now that I have had a chance to get through it, I must say, it is a splendid issue, with so many poems to enjoy! I'm honored to be in such fine company. Congrats to all!

Many thanks to everyone for your gracious and kind comments. But our writers and artists are the heroes.

Now comes the hard part: living up to the superlatives in future issues.

Cheers!

Back again to say that it was truly a terrific issue and maybe because of the mood I'm in today I especially fell for Mike Cantor's River Children, followed closely by Ann Drysdale's In God's Pocket and Kent Leatham's Language of Love.

On another day, in another mood, I might have picked others. A very fine issue indeed. Lovely artwork selections too.
