You already published this on the Sphere, Jodie, back in 2014. Except you didn't print the lyrics that time.

How about extending that Christmas feeling, and actually participating on the Sphere. As far as I can see - going back a number of years - you basically use the Sphere from time to time to promote your own writing, and that's essentially it. But you're a wonderful writer and critic. How about giving back? I'm not sure if you're writing poetry these days, but there are plenty of opportunities for essays or comments on a variety of poetry and literary (and political, although that can get a bit hairy, particularly recently) themes. Hope we can see you from time to time as a true participant.

What's new, Michael, is the song's selection for a list of carols, which I thought the few here who remember me might appreciate. But fair enough, fair enough. I'll delete and keep my distance from what might strike you as self-promotion.

Hi, Jody, maybe Mike was just inviting you to participate in other ways, too? I think "Accomplished Members" is for promotion--of self & others--or am I wrong?

FYI I've never taken part in any Eratosphere workshop--not because I wouldn't have back in the day when I really could have used the community, but because I didn't know it existed. Probably I needed someone to click on the site and say, "Here it is, take part!"

Today, I post occasionally, lurk more often, & interact with Spherians here, on Facebook & in the real world at various conferences (Poetry by the Sea, West Chester of course, Writing the Rockies & even Sewanee way back when).

I think all these options are OK, as far as I know!

I'm with Ned. And Joseph. And Michael.

I took that as an invitation to participate more. And I would too if I had anything to add to what I get from all you learned people. So I lurk and learn. I do mean to workshop more, but I haven't been writing much larely.

Joseph, regardless of your participation here, congratulations on your carol. I went to it on Youtube and listened to it. It was very enjoyable and well done. If I were you, I'd repost it here so that others could enjoy it during the season. Of course, you're welcome to participate.

My best,
charlie.
