First Things
First Things surprised me by putting this one on-line recently. It first appeared in the magazine 5 years ago: https://www.firstthings.com/article/...lare-of-assisi

It was great to read that poem, Gail, as well as the others by you that had links at the bottom of the page. My favorite was "Into the Fire."

Adding my voice to the chorus. I admired them all (Claire of Assisi is a subject close to my heart) & especially loved "Domestic Incident" (I've known enraged musicians & feared for women friends) & "With the Bath Water" (great questions--it's too easy to tear things down till nothing's left). Great work, Gail!

I agree, they are all wonderful. But "Into the Fire" is the one that stood out for me.
