John Yau selected Etymologies as winner of the 2021 Omnidawn Open. It will be published by them in April 2023. The announcement is not on their site yet but it's official and on their Instagram. I signed the contract yesterday.

Thank you to everyone who commented on these poems over the years. What started as mere visual play ("what if I stacked three words for avocado on top of one another?") grew out of control and into a book.

(If a mod could delete the three threads I started in non-met, I'd much appreciate it).
